Some people don't even know where it is...
I'm off to bed
OK, while we're waiting, two shots to help!!!
Are there any signs to give the language away??
the first one is around Gamla Stan (the Old Town)
(you two were two seconds apart!!!)
That was in December, which I think is about the 7th or 8th time I've been there!!
I know, this is the o/s version, but let's use the way-way-way back machine.
It's about 1972 and I am the huge-headed, small kid rockin' the dude hat. Accompanied by my dorky cousin.
Guess the Aus resort.
I have no idea, but that is one awesome photo! Seriously did you your head shrink? Are they horse drawn carriages in the background? How can you still post when you're 100? Finally are you gay? If not, why are you holding a boy's hand?
Yes, even at that age I was exuding the throbbing masculinity that defines me now.
That head/body combo is like a pumpkin on a stick.
It's a miracle of physics that I even managed to remain upright, and not topple over.
That reminds me, we should have a "photos of kids at ski resorts" photo thread.
I'm pretty sure I can out-dork everyone.
Kudos man, I mean you NAILED that hat.
Bulli Beach, Sandon Pt in the background.
Baw Baw? Pure guess, never been there.
Pork pie hats and shorts around your armpits are marking a comeback I hear.
Sorry for the delay.
Ohh about 2 km or so.
Here's another one... (relatively easy, if you've been there)
Different location... possibly much harder
Zeroz looks like Falls Creek.
Funky's first one looks like Saguaro National Park near Tucson, Arizona.... used to live not far from there.
Funky's second one Loch Ness????
No one got mine..
1/2 way along
No and No...
Clue, both are same continent.
As soon as I saw the ice skating around the fountain, I assumed it was Copenhagen...
Ok, the first one, Salton Sea?
Clue for 1st one...
Close... Very close
Not so close
Peru ! Lake Titicaca !
Close... but Lake Titicaca has water in it...
Remember the supplementary photos were clues only.
Salt lake - Uyuni
Must be Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia then....
What were you doing there??
Didn't realise those sorts of cactii grew there!!
We have two winners...
Isla de Pescador
It looks like a fish from the distance. While there are other islands on the salt lakes, none have the number and size of cacti as IdP.
What was I doing? Possibly the most beautiful trip I've ever been on. Sitting in a 4WD for 4 days, driving from ~3,800m asl to as high as 5,000m asl seeing salt lakes, cacti, desert ranges, volcanoes, red lakes, green lakes (clue picture above), pink flamingos, llamas, geysers, train grave yards, rock formations.
Thing is, prior to going to Sth America, I had no intention on going to Bolivia, and had never heard of Salar de Uyuni.
With a $100 point and shoot 35mm camera, I have some of the best pictures I've ever taken. Sample below.
I think the other photo is probably too hard (it could be a tree anywhere), as you can't see the surrounding volcanos (it is El Lechero, Otavalo - Ecuador).
Sol de Manana - Geysers
Laguna Colorado - Red Lake with flamingos
4WD Broken down for the 10th time...
Great story Funky !
I hope this works ! My first time to post a photo, be gentle !
NFI... North America, but that is the best I can get.
Yes North America !
Beaver Creek ??
Yes - but can you name the cabin ?
geez...now you are being tough ???
