nope, mind you I really liked Napflion. Great little beach !!
Rhodes island !
you got it....your turn.
Sorry MP I am not very good at posting photos !
Never done it before. So you gives us another one please !
Maybe there should be a "No Google" clause
I put in 'port with deer statue and old fort" and this was the first hit
as always though the net proved instructive
....brought deer to the island to rid it of snakes.!!?..pity didn't work in Australia , seems to have worked well in NZ though.
Where the statues are is supposedly where the feet of the Collosus of Rhodes stood.
An easy one.
correct....which pyramid ????
Pyramid of the Sun.
I don't have a great selection of photos here at work so this will have to do for the moment!!!
Japan ski resort !
Damn,...... even the IMG tag is no help.....
Not too far from Yokohama by train.
Quite far from Yokohama, by car.
Oh,.... yeah,.... that's a big help Sandy,..... 20 mins in the train is the same as 4 hrs in the car !!
I'm 98% sure the top you see there is the highest lifted point of any ski resort in Japan. (2307m)
From Yokohama to there by train, then bus would be about 4 hours.
By car would be around the same....
Somewhere in Shiga Kogen?
That's makes it easier!!!
except Shiga Kogen is massive!
Shibutouge is 2305m , are you adding 2m for snow Sandy?
It's 2m higher than Shibutouge
You'd know this if you've ever tried to skate from the top of Shibutouge.
(although both are listed as the same at Snow Japan, but others list it as 2307m)
Yokoteyama looks like it's very close
That's over the far end at above the Prince Hotel.(top is 2000m)
(name is close though!!
Beat me to it.
Some list Yokoteyama as 2305m some as 2307m. However, as I mentioned, if Shibutouge is 2305m, then Yokoteyama is a fraction higher, because you can ski down to the top of Shibutouge from Yokoteyama. (about 40m away)
Thredbo, Golf Course Bowl!
Nup,The day we were there it was ice and a bushfire seemed to have been through in summer.
Can't be in Australia because this is the "Where is this? (OS version)"
The pic is heavily cropped and not in the US.
Ok, it's Niseko.
The orange pole reminds me of Japan. Rusutsu?
There are many orange poles.
There are also other coloured ones.
Meditating on this is/ is not a useful thing.
I get 2 or 4 hours start off work than most of you guys. That's my excuse.
It's not Rusutsu.
There need to be clues.
If you heavily crop the shot, then all you can see is snow, a rider and a few trees. No landmarks to enable people to recognise them, so it's just a guess.
If you look at the shot I posted, it's got just about the whole mountain in it.
Can you post a less cropped version?
Yes, but look at the right side of the pic, follow the line and it's one of the 863 unlifted mountains of Japan.
yep thats so much more helpful
No, getting colder
Moiwa, but that's considered a part of Niseko....
