Looks like very clear greeny water. No tannin, so maybe not SW WA or TAS. Lots of timber down, maybe near a reservoir? Dog, so not a Nat Park?

What about those ones near Melbourne in state forest, Thompson river?

Not a bad guess, does look a little low flow upper Styx'ish.... but it's not.

Looks like, because it is. Nothafagus c. in the background with emergent eucalypts, big wood in the river mostly E. delegatensis. That combination should rule out a few possible locations.

He does carry few things for us, handles the weight fine, up to around 10-12kg, just the bulk throws him a little, fitting through gaps and on rocks/cliffs etc. He's a pretty experienced tree / chainsaw campaigner too, taught him that chainsaws and tree's are dangerous when he was a pup by tying him to the trailer and scarfing a big dead jarrah to land 2m in front of him in the mud. Poor little bugger nearly dragged the trailer up the road, never had a problem with him getting in the drop again though.

Not so good with the beer though, probably would drink decent stuff, but imagine he'd treat VB with more disdain than lettuce....

Last multi-day walk, loaded the barrel up with his food for four days, his sleeping matt, our sleeping matts, the light and the stove and canister. On the way out, he got the rubbish as well. He didn't like the tent poles, as they tended to make annoying clicks with the canine gait.

Top handle on harness is good for hauling dog, or wet crossings.

Is none of the above mentioned Tassie Rivers.

Pretty good. Is moderately interested, but wary, certainly doesn't lunge after them like some breeds. Am careful and can call him off or on, but also Tasmanian snakes are a fairly docile bunch of black slugs. Catch thin lizzies and goanna's fairly regularly and try to attach them to his nose to help him develop an aversion to reptiles.

Meeting an eastern brown or T-pan in the long grass would be a little different.

Hmm, somewhere in the Liffey, though it's mostly dry. Maybe jackeys Marsh or remnants on Lomond?

    No Go-Pro's in this family.

I come from the slide film tradition, if you want POV, it's done with an expensive SLR & fish-eye lens.

Any raises on the Tassie river with lots of laterally laying gum top stringy bark logs suggesting a section of meandering, low energy flow?
