The big hill in the Stirling ranges.
So is the photo taken at Kaputar or does closer mean northern NSW?
Kaputar national park it is, with Narrabri behind my back. Was after the name of prominent volcanic terrace to the left in the photo.
This should be clue enough;
Ahhhhhhh, The Governer
Damn. Two pics in my neck of the woods and i miss both.
And one was taken an hour after we had coffee.
Sidey was your Wurrumbungle photo taken from the Coolah - Premer rd about 10 kms from Coolah. I love driving home ( Snowies to north coast) up the guts of NSW,thru the Liverpool plains - you get to see how the country is doing, and there is a whole lot less coppers, trucks and all round traffic.
It was just north of Coolah, couldn't tell you the name of a rd i was near though. Just drove down some guys drive to get a view.
It's called "The Black Stump Way".
Yeah that's the one, some knob in Dubbo told me to go that way.
I was hoping you didn't see my Black Stump.
Hey positron, should I put up a pic or is The Governor wrongski?
I have an itch I need to scratch.
Stay off topic please.
who let CC in here.....
Off topic ------ My itch has no relationship with SB's black stump!!!
Positron may be temorarily indisposed while he tends to his wounds... post a pic to keep it moving, we can always come back if still in play.
Looks Grampians ish, but I don't recognise it so probably not.
ubercorrect - Stirling Ranges WA.
thanks T-W. Nice photo by the way. Next one was taken around Easter time...
Is that Freycinet Penisula in the background?
Maria island and frecinet from Tasman peninsula
Couldn't have been Tasmania at Easter, I was there then and it was friggin windy and mostly wet
From Bishop and Clerk on Maria Island looking north toward Freycinet Peninsula
Squidly has it. Sorry Angus, we had great weather in Tassie over Easter. Even got clear views from the top of Ossa on another day which was awesome.
Someone hop in with a picture, don't have one handy atm.
Ok found one;
Going to be Tas, see a few King Billy pines. King River?
Yes got it in one, King River Gorge from the Abt Railway
Wow. Looks just like the Karamea in NZ
Did you packraft the Karamea Andrew ?
Brilliant..... went on the Abt Railway when it first opened back in 2000 or 2001 \
So thought it looked very west coast Tassie, but didn't want to go with the more obvious Gordon / Franklin.
Off to look for a picture... be right back
Body of water from where?
Great Oyster Bay, from the Hazards?
Yep, half way up Mt Amos.
The pink tinge in the rock was a bit of a give away.
Please jump in with a photo if you have one handy, as I have none with me at work.
Back to a winter theme.
Is that the upper Thredbo river valley/Cascade trail at upper right of pic?
I must get out more (and further afield) - OTU tele-whippet
Would that be the big J in the background?
It would not be.
Grey Mare Range?
Yes, from the saddle above the ex-Orange Hut.
Good sheltered skiing on those slopes around the power lines-Orange Hut site if shut down at the Hilton during bad weather.
Where is the Foxhole?
