I was using the search function within NSW Parks website  shoulda known to use a completely random search engine from the USA in lieu of local product.

I suspect that info is not exactly correct. There are some nice looking (summer) camp sites just down from the outlet of Lake Albina and Club Lake. They are technically not in the catchment, but I believe they are still no-go. The exclusion zone is more than the strict catchment. Why do I think this? Where does this info come from? Huh, ask NPWS:headbang:

What happens next Pini? Is this the beginings of Pini junior?

Since this is the etiquette thread i hope you gave her a cuddle when you were done rather than crack open a tinny.

This came up in my Facebook feed

LEAVE NO TRACE ETHICS – BACKCOUNTRY SNOWSPORTS
    1. Plan Ahead and Prepare
    • Practice Safety First.
    • Know where you are going.
    • Know your own and your group’s limits, and minimize risks.

    2. Travel on Durable Surfaces
    • Stay on deep snow cover whenever possible.

    3. Dispose of Waste Properly
    • Pack It In, Pack It Out.

    4. Leave What You Find
    • Leave only tracks.

    5. Minimize Campfire and Hut Impacts
    • Use a lightweight stove for cooking and enjoy a lantern or headlamp for light.
    • Leave huts and cabins in better shape than how you found them.

    6. Respect Wildlife
    • Observe wildlife from a distance.
    • Never feed wildlife or leave food behind to be eaten.
    • If you choose to bring your dog keep it under control and do not let it harass
      wildlife.

    7. Be Considerate of Others
    • Respect landowners, both public and private.
    • Respect other skiers/riders and all other users.
    • When ascending trails, keep clear and yield to downhill traffic. When
descending always stay in control, go one at a time, and slow down near
      others.
    • Respect designated areas, signs, and wildlife

Probably been seen before, but worth posting again:

    1. If I choose to access the backcountry by mechanized means, I will do so in a respectful fashion, obeying all rules and regulations, and driving with care when around foot travelers such as snowshoers, snowboarders and skiers.
    2. I will respect designated areas, trail use signs, and established ski tracks. When traveling on foot or snowshoe, I will not damage existing ski trails that backcountry skiers have created and are using.
    3. When stopping, I will not block the trail.
    4. I will not disturb wildlife and will avoid areas posted for their protection or feeding.
    5. I will not litter, and I will pack out everything I packed in, including pet results.
    6. I will adjust my backcountry skiing or riding pace and level of risk to that which my whole party is comfortable with.
    7. I will not encourage or push others to take risks they are not comfortable with.
    8. I realize that my destination and travel speed are determined by my equipment, ability, terrain, weather, and traffic on the trail, and will plan accordingly.
    9. In case of an emergency, I will volunteer assistance. I will always carry basic emergency equipment such as a light source, shovel, and first aid supplies.
    10. I will not interfere with or harass other recreationists involved in legal/normal activities. I recognize that people judge all other winter recreationists by my actions.
    11. I will promote a friendly and positive attitude while in the backcountry. I will smile and greet others on the trail, offer information about conditions, and offer assistance if necessary.

1A/// I will always carry a chainsaw into areas that are frequented with stands of timber and will be prepared to cut any fallen trees across the access trails on which I drive and I will not rely on others/or management providers to rescue members of my party..and I will provide assistance to anybody that is having difficulties.

NoteXXX Team Bears are still seeing folk venturing in to West Kiewa without a saw!!!!!o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O

Parks got a loo at trail head near old Diamintina Hut????

Maybe if Parks Vic were more proactive they might have constructed one and maybe just maybe there would be less turds on the "Iconic Razorback Walk"

Federation Hut has the super dunny complex but I cannot remember anything on the Hotham Rd..:crap::crap:

So wifey is doing her usual morning walk to Hornes Point at Mt Piddington this morning when she comes across a tent at the end and next to it a bare arse dropping a turd into the middle of the fire trail!
She told the owner of the turd that she thought he was an effing turd!
    WTF :crap::crap:

Not even close, I still see two layers on one of those pretenders. Kossies for Kosi, did they seriously do as they were going too, I think not, they don't look blue enough. Irresponsible message being sent.

Pretty sure all of us (shirtless wankers) would survive without a chainsaw wielding, teddy bear talking bigot thinking nobody could enter the mountains unless he was clearing tracks.

seems to be attitude problem from some folk in Main Range....that drive to trail heads like Guthega Power Station/Perisher or Thredbo/DHG Selwyn Ski Resort or Kiandra put on skis or snow shoes and take off for their fun packed adventure...

May be some need to "earn them turns".:rolleyes::rolleyes:...

also if snow shoe party had come at Kosy via Hannels Spur then whole forum would be totally amazed and they could wear those undies while taking selfies without criticism....:p:p:p

DJM you are quite welcome to get off your backside and do some work if u want...
still some obstacles requiring attention for the hardy viccos coming up Bungelow Spur...
poor Bears ran out of Chain/Bar oil but managed a decent chop till the ruin...

bad etiquette to tackle Kosy for undie selfies from tourist routes or chairlift???

DJM better not to pose unless u have done something meaningful????

Steve, you are clueless about what others are doing. These blokes (I'm not associated with them in any way) were raising $100,000 for beyondblue to help with youth depression and anxiety. Brilliant and worthy cause. Do you have any idea of the impact these types of groups are having?

Instead of calling them wankers and asking people to "Earn their turns", wake the fck up and see it for what it is.

I don't sit across the border and take mindless potshots at anyone skiing in Victoria and question their passion for the backcountry and commitment to what they love. I have absolutely zero guilt for skiing the backcountry.

If you were committed to the environment you'd sell all the 2 stroke gear and use a fkn hand saw and axe you sftcok.
