And highly illegal. Look how close that rider gets to paddlers? 10cm?

If anything ever happened , pray it never does , they are both (driver and rider) absolutley gornnnnn.
    700kg of machine dead weight.

I get drilled on it repeatedly , with all the courses and proficiencies , for my Search & Rescue gig.

The Coroner will examine ..... , the Coroner will find ..... "and we won't be able to help you ".

Thinking about this a little , the boys best hope that some A hole in Roads & Marine doesn't spot it and decide to make an issue / example.
As happened to one of our Drivers , he got spotted on the TV news chasing a shark from the beach without a rescue sled attached to the RWC & they suspended his SLS licence for 12 months.

That windswell delivered this AM down south - got a lovely little session in at North facing beachie, squared the swell up nicely for some 2-3ft right hand runners. Perfect end to the weekend!!

Don't think any records, ended up with 162mm for the 24hrs (which i certainly no record), flooded the shops over the road from mine but i've seen the water that high before. There was a chance we were going to get another 100mm over night but it didn't hit. Not sure i've seen the 1hr total like we had yesterday but i've seen more sustained heavy rain than we got

South Coast novelty break last week. 4 hours of ridiculous fun. Worked all day and 3 other days as well apparently.

yea mate, should make it a lot safer to turn right into the servo and still allow for the overtaking lane to operate.... if it dries out!

Sorry, I'd missed this post. It was sort of ok Sunday morning, one of those days it _doesn't_ surf as well as it looks (opposite of most of the recent questionable-looking days I've had) - or maybe it was just me not really hooking it up as well as I should have. My tracker tells me I got 16 waves in an hour, but there was cross-chop and weird wobble in the waves, a few whopper cleanup sets came through, and then it rapidly fizzled out and lost a foot or two of size the last 20 minutes before I gave it away and went in for coffee and cake. It seemed to get better again a bit later - saw a friend who had arrived late get a ripper of a wave then come in (after only maybe 1/2 hour in the water).

I got to have a good chat in the water with my 3 friends who are camping at Treachery this coming weekend on the Surfing World Camp. My wife said I should go with them but it was already sold out, so I'll just be jelly here and hope they have some decent conditions and get an ok camping spot - they said they were about 800m away from the beach last year and hoping and earlier arrival this year will let them get a better pick.

We've just had 100mm in last 4 hrs.
Local groms hit the waterlogged fairways on their boogie boards.

Yep groms were hitting Sth Werri headland on boogies here too.

I had a crazy, rowdy surf at the point. onshore wind, pissing down, but surprisingly a couple of fun ones. Looking forward to the morning.

Got a good shred in this arvie on light winds in Bondi. Banks are fun but sadly it's the wrong angle. Weird closes outs with guttery exits. Not to worry, winds due to bring it round from the south from tomorrow onwards. Luckily, I am a plant to blood & bone in the onshores.

Well I gotta say, I just had one of the funnest, emptiest onshore surfs in Bondi. Just me and a mate sharing wave for wave. Sure it's blown out but the wedgey-peaks turned into east swell runners. So much fun.
    Plenty of swell!

I just checked the local weather for there on WeatherZone (and sent to one of my other surfing friends who isn't going to the camp) and it looks to be "character building". I'm not even sure that _I_ would paddle out - and perhaps I might even bail on the whole weekend :( Looking like 20-40mm rain today then 20-ish the other two days... and windy and giant messy swell and just generally yuck. I hope the music and the food trucks are good for those attending the camp! (NOTE: I'll still be down at Palm Beach tomorrow morning for the early and hoping to catch something (other than an ear or throat infection)).

Southerly is offshore at Manly and it's chest high. Around 10 out at the Bower. Rain free this morning, but looks like it is coming.

Just surfed broken for 3 hrs, got a few alright ones, pretty crowded at the start but thinned out with a bit of wind on the water

Not sure who was in the line up if anybody but was a water photographer, beach photographer and drone out there. Saw that JOB was in yamba a day or two back and didn't see him out there, i'd have been staying in yamba with this swell anyway

Oh my, the left bank, dear God it's good.

3ft+ cross-shore left bowls such a sick sand setup ATM. Nothing to see here :p

Went for a hunt today, found nothing but good banks. Plenny of empty line ups today too. Sucks to be picky about the weather, Sydney.
