Where did you get this offer? I could be too late, literally booked 10 QF flights for the next 2 months just last week, bugger!

Email was sent - got to register and then fly between end August to 30th November
Once registered all flights earn double

These offers are usually targeted at people coming up short based on previous travel, or to those that have dropped down a level. Sign-up restricted to invitee. Unusual to have a general offer.

But QF are concerned about the new Virgin lounges and The Club, Virgin's answer to the Chairman's Lounge.
They are surveying ff specifically on QF lounge satisfaction, and exactly where they can improve.

    Roll on competition.

My wife got the invite but I didn't. Might be because she did a couple domestic flights with Qantas only a few weeks ago whereas the last time I flew with Qantas was in April.

This wasn't a one-off. QF sends out targeted "double status credits" offers all the time.

Boss just jagged an invite to the club, trying to find a way to travel with him to scope it out.

Virgin is more worried about their current cash position than anything else, they have spent too much on a poor domestic business class product and "The Club" but haven't managed to keep enough business contracts..

The Club is lucky to have anyone in it at the best of times, meanwhile the standard lounges STILL serve hot dogs... thank god for the Qantas Business lounges.... [IMG]

    Anyways, back to the topic

Qantas sends out double status credit offers every few months to selected people

    Cost to them is little
    Benefit to them is huge
