Far east Gippsland getting smashed. Some of that should make it over the ranges.
Looks too far east though for Buller and Baw Baw.

It was clear in jindy 2 hours back but I just took the rubbish out and it has clouded over. Probably 4-5c outside. From this direction I was just thinking this is the type of setup may produce some flakes around jindabyne.

Rain is really coming down in geelong as well, radar didn't look that bad for down here but looks quite nice east. Hopefully not to Far East

Very localised. Dry and mostly cloudless sky here in Cantebury.
Had a very light sprinkle a hour or so back.

Baw Baw will do well today, it just needs to keep the current temps through the day. If the temps stay good it will deliver big time for them today, the other resorts will get some snow but not as much.

Looks like the rainfall is heading dead east. Last night it was heading dead north. Interesting day to come.
Baw Baw has got a few cms and should get a bit more.

Starting to warm up at Victorian resorts now. Falls and Buller above zero, Hotham not far behind.

Baw baw is -0.4 now, very slowly climbing. trees look heavy on some cams. rain gauge readings look intresting at BB over the past few days since freezing, I'd be interested to see how much snow is laying around there

And humidity all over the shop up around these parts also.
Some sections of the GAR with flurries, other parts misty drzzle.
Lotsa branches down around DP with heavy moisture laden snow frozen creating weight.

Still good to see white though.

Yeh, still hammering down at Baw Baw. I thought they might get 10cm out of this, but that could be a low ball now.

Just my IMO, but I don't rate this a "fizzer"
Not Earth shattering...but 10cm+ on skiable terrain most resorts is ok

Left St Gwin about 2 hours ago with about 3 cm on the ground at the car park, so should stay up higher

Thanks for that, Sidetrack. I was wondering about St Gwinear conditions relative to Baw Baw. I'm meant to be camping at St G this weekend so hoping for some adequate snow. Was it snowing up there when you left?

Been hovering around 9-10 degrees all day in Geelong with light rain most of the day. I think the gwinear carpark looks about 1300m I wonder if theres been snow lower.

Interesting the rain seems to be stalling over Verm's neck of the woods. Cranbourne looks like its been hammered for hours.

Steady rain in Beaconsfield but still snowing at BB. Looks to be raining at FC, too, all that expensive man-made snow being washed away.

Just got a text from Buller - pretty much echoing the above LM sentiment, just started snowing and the road is white.
