A really good spot is to look at the Guthega cam.
Can see on the top of the bull wheel and roof of the hut how much we really get.
Do lose a little in the big winds to consider also.

What a difference a day makes at Buller!

Can't seem to post an image but it's sunny and pretty clear up there this morning.

I agree! (when it's not iced over). Smiggins cam for me is a good guide for the lower slopes at Perisher, too. I hope the latter part of this set of fronts delivers a little more ....

Mostly bluebird at Hotham today. Plenty of 10cm stashes off piste if you found the right aspect. Had freshies all day
Not enough natural yet to cover the bushes though

Maybe for you but looks like a standard size at my local ;).
On the other hand it may be representative of your optimism , the glass size I mean.

Monday's front is now moving through Perth - been building up to it for most of the day. Reasonable amount of rain in it (def not a dirty word here!), not much follow-up. I hope it falls as snow! I'll be there tomorrow.:woohoo:

Watching the AEMO power dashboard as one does. Noticed SA wind power earlier this evening was only 30MW or so its now 177MW and VIC is 118MW at 21:40 so shows the wind is picking up. Ill update again later.

Yep. Got up at 6am head out and take sunrise photos down in Williamstown. 3c and it felt like -3... my hands were numb after about 10 minutes with the breeze coming off the bay.

Cracker of a sunrise btw. Photos to come once I've edited them.

It is C O L D here in Melb. Snow is coming !. I am driving up to Myrtleford today after lunch. I am heading up the Bungalow spur at Mt. FT tomorrow morning. I predict it will be snow shoes time on the upper Bungalow spur . I will leave the ascent of the evil NW spur for another time. I think we might get some powder snow at Fed. hut where I will be stoking the fire tomorrow evening. :)

No rain in Port Melb.yet....blustery conditions but lots of bicycles on bike track and roller blading not too difficult...wind appears to be changing direction and vector along west to east is not too strong yet to prevent above activities.probably sixty per cent cloud cover.looks like stratocumulus but weather is not Team Bears strong point!

Got down to about -6 in Mt Beauty last night. Beautiful clear crisp morning at Falls now we're up top. Queues not too bad and skiing ok. They'll be happy to get some fresh snow though.

Got out yesterday and today with my little 4 year old daughter because I'm pretty sure she won't be liking the conditions for the rest of this week!

That front swinging in from SA looks mean....

Poor Mr T will be on the receiving end of that Monday I suppose.
Appears to be a large cold fetch from the Sth behind this rotating thingee jig!

F**k it is cold outside (Gordon near Ballarat), coldest I have felt all year, that windchill gets you to the core.

Got a good feeling (vibe) about this system!!

Couple of pictures from my dawn outing this morning. Low quality simply because the uncompressed files are too large, so apologies for that.

My favourite is Melbourne in silhouette. The colours while slightly exaggerated for dramatic effect were definitely there to the naked eye.
