I've been looking through the Foxtel program, and there's no trace of the St Moritz World Championship events - plenty of Universiade from Almaty
    are there any other links?

Really? That's pretty poor. Austrian TV are/will be all over it. Breakfast TV is hosting this morning from Marcel Hirscher's home town of Annaberg.

I've finished skiing but still here for a couple of weeks visiting relatives, so should see much of it.

Nicole Schmidhofer (a Steierin :)) was a surprise winner of the Super-G in St Moritz. Another in the list of those who have won World championship Gold without having won a World cup race. She was 4th in Garmisch. Tina Weirather and Lara Gut were 2nd and 3rd. Anna Veith & Lindsay Vonn both DNFd.

I'm in transit at the moment across southern Austria so just got the time updates on the phone. Will have to catch highlights tonight.

Samantha Sim almost didn't recognise Sammi Kennedy Sim :) Bloody awesome effort, such a hard worker, great role model to the juniors. Well deserved

Great trip to Worlds for Canada's Erik Guay with silver in DH and gold in SG. Must be getting close to retiring, surely Olympics in a year will be his swan song.

Make that 6 golds, 1 bronze, 7 poduims out of 8. She has the World Cup in the bag now with one event to go in the moguls calander.
I was lucky enough to see her, and the rest of the Aussie team, train a couple of days ago at Tazawako Japan. Awesome result.
Waiting for mainstream media to trip over themselves in rushing to report this....not
    Anyway, an awesome effort

This should be huge for Australian snow sports. Moguls is the real deal, it's far more competitive and structured than aerials and the x games type events. Bigger athlete pool, more countries involved, you name it. The media should be giving this real coverage.

Na, they think Moguls is Clive Palmer and Gina Reinhard. I heard it discussed on the ABC sports program yesterday however it got about 30 seconds of comment.
Britt has taken a serious step up this year. In the past she was always beautiful to watch but she did'nt stand out against the four point landing sisters or Hanna or the range of others. Big change this year. She still has a beautiful style however she is clearly much more direct, fast and really aggressive. You can see Dale Begg Smiths influence in her skiing and that is coming straight from Steve Desovich her coach.
Great to watch. Well done britty

there was definitely mainstream media about Britt's recent successes - I get the clippings at work - though I'd never expect widespread interest
if it's not cricket, AFL or Rugby League it doesn't rate much

Well if she stays healthy, she'll be the leading medal contender at Pyeongchang in less than 12 months from now. That should get some media interest.

Marcel Hirscher finished the World champs off nicely convincingly winning the GS, slalom double to go along with the silver in the combi (missing gold by 0.01 sec). Should shut up some of the social media nonsense he copped after being beaten in the team event.

Good result all round - good to see Manual Feller get rewards for his attacking policy despite a number of DNF's. And 4 Austrians in the top 8 in the slalom.

looking ahead to this weekend's women's races at Crans-Montana, it appears that Foxtel are only broadcasting Eurosport's coverage of the combined events
the men's downhill at Kvitfjell is getting slightly more coverage but there's bit more of the various freestyle events
so is this due to Eurosport, Foxtel, FIS even?
