Went up Bogong via Erksdale Spur on Sat morning staying the night at Michel Hut and parking at Camp Creek Gap. On the hike up to the hut here was only a light dusting of snow on the trail from about 1400 onwards. We were the only 4 at the Hut on Saturday night and saw around 5cms accumulate overnight with some pre-frontal sleet. Snowfall Sunday AM : On a Sunday Summit mission visibility was low and the wind was forming a crust towards the top that saw us potholing quite a bit. We turned around at about half a km from the summit. On The way up Erksdale the snow was nice on the southern slopes but still a bit bony, we didn't ride anything due to visibility and fear of what lurked beneath the surface. The trail from the hut to the summit still needs half a metre to cover over the rocks and make it rideable back down to Michel Hut. Driving back along Camp Creek Rd we encountered a large fallen tree that luckily for us someone had just cut a car sized gap in. Thanks if that was you!
