Left to right? Or right to left?
Looking up or looking down?
Top to bottom (or, often, top to middle)
No no no mun ya be doin it all wrong . It's top to bottom .
Left to right unless Powderbowl is calling .
I always go right to left, but that's based on the location of my accomodation.
On a fresh snow day I think left to right offers the better skiing, just because that side of the mountain offers longer sustained pitches of ungroomed snow.
Any new snow is gratefully accepted
Ahhh, but right to left gives better chance of fresh tracks!
Im a rightie, I like when I meet the lefties in the middle and we swap stories.
I so rarely start on the left I wouldn't know but starting left does seem to have a bigger lift line (and more terrain).
I have my new snow day routine, which I like. It gives me at least a handful of untracked to near untracked runs to start a day. After that I'm usually blissed out and couldn't care too much one way or another what happens the rest of the day.
I wear to the left. Suits you sir....
I do like the banter when a leftie starts rightie, or viceversa.
The right way to ski Thredbo
Either way ya gonna traverse ......
Not if you just ski the Supertrail all day!
More fun than whinging about the budget for sure!
The wrong way to ski Thredbo
Wasnt so bad...
Skier's left, or looker's left?
Well, when you make the decision, you are at the bottom!
Close my eyes and dream/remember 81.
or far left?
Great shots, whippet.
Left to right, unless dropping pet humans at Friday Flat. In which case it doesn't matter because everything's been poached.
If the winds blowing no matter where it starts it tends to finish in the middle.
Mate I should grab a copy of that, it was a cracker day. Great shot.
Stop giving people ideas you lot.
Mind you, same day
This is my lot...
As such, I'm normally hunting. Surprisingly had one awesome day last year where it didn't matter.
Got to love a windy day!
So these guys say to me .......... "Come to Thredbo and we'll rip up the backcountry. Bring your own poo-tube .............. and snow." <shakes head>
Is that Friday Flat ?
At the top of it, yes!
Those green runs at Thredbo are pretty gnarly.
You passed on the BC (There was some really nice snow on the way to DHG). To wimpy with your little girly skis.
Is that a crevasse?
Glad you photoshopped The Cruiser chair out from the photo, made it more alpine looking.
Jeez them telecrooners are gettin restless this year. Hope it damn well snows soon- then the madness might abate............ yeah nah probably not.
It all depends on the day and who's on the mountain.
If it's a standard day no freshies to be had then it's Crackers chair and Supertrail top to bottom to dial in the legs. If there's freshies to be had then it's a choice depending on wind etc but 9 times out of 10 it's lookers left first.
Day punters go right and stay there, the rest go left, further the better.
Unless, as TWs photo shows a few sneaky Vortex runs are involved, then go faar right
I'm guessing the lefts and rights all organically converge at black sallies around 12pm yeh?
Some days the middle is where its at
Damn - wish it was always like that. When was that @telecrag ?
Sometimes it's best to go low.
Actually it was pretty shit, but there were wind blown pockets to be found as they say!
Sometimes the right is fun even later in the day, with the Dr
I'm sure many ski it on ICE.
