I use an app called Piste Maps - it's really simple and does what it says on the tin - quickly download piste maps for almost all ski resorts around the world. It's great when needing to reference or give advice to friends.

What other apps do people use?

I've been using snowzat. It's pretty good.

I also have the perisher app.

"Clinometer", a spirit level app, with the extra couple of bucks paid for the feature where I can point the camera at the bottom of a slope, and measure the angle with the camera crosshairs. It's important to back up your bragging rights with cold hard data!

Seriously though, slope angles and alpha/runout angles are a very important aspect of avoiding avalanches in the backcountry.
