Question Afternoon boot pain

    So, my boots are pretty comfy, aside from the first day or so of the season.

    But

    If I get in late and go for an afternoon ski,they totally rape my feet for at least an hour, but this never happens if I start in the morning.

    Why?

    Do our feet swell during a normal day?

    Most peoples feet shrink with exercise. Then swell when they slow down.

    So foot shrinks rather than boot packs ou, requiring the tightening of buckles as the day goes on?

    Feet maybe larger after the drive?

    Yep.. as benchives suggests. Drink more alcohol the day prior........will reduce foot fatness!!

    Due to the increase in elevation, your feet have the bends , but after a period of time they
    return to normal, just observe a sealed pack of chips.
    and drink more alcohol.

    Later in the day you've been on your feet for longer so blood pools/other fluids accumulate more and your feet are bigger/more tender. Earlier in the day they've been in bed (elevated so to speak) and so are smaller/less fluid accumulation. As you exercise the fluid is pumped around your body so the 'swelling' goes down after an hour or so...

    "Throwing the shoulders around FROM an uphill direction".
    Because strong coiling initiation depends on a pulse from upper body ROTATION, rather than upper body POSITION, one can run out of rotation room by excessive slow "skiing into counter" in the previous turn.
