Temps still seem a bit warm for my liking!

Good old LAPS is indicating the anything on Saturday appears to be of the water kind and not the snow kind... Except for above around 1700 metres

GFS still has the rain turning to snow about 4am Sunday morning for Vic resorts and then 5-15 cms of snow for VIC
GFS on Sunday 5-15cms again, but trying to say it's going to get warmer
GFS for Tue/Wed some more snow-showers - Best for VIC resorts of course

Perhaps some good wet sloppy snow, good for base building ?

I'll take that skidown being at Perisher where the base is at 1700m.
If it does come in that form it will help put a bullet proof cover over the non man made areas in anticipation for falls next week

Just book Japan, and every time you go TO Japan, you'll get a 1m dump, at least!!!!

When and where are you going?

Loving Weatherzone....??? WTF

They post this in their Weather News:
"Lowest snow depth for more than 20 years"
"Unfortunately, over the next three or four days we're also going to get warmer than average temperatures and also rain.
"The existing snow cover will be, I think, further damaged by that."

Then on there snow forecast they post:

Jul 31 Rain tending to snow. Windy 80% 2-5cm 1500 Strong NW/W Poor

Sun
Aug 01 Colder. Windier. Snow showers 90% 20-40cm 1000 Strong W/SW Poor

Mon
Aug 02 Wind and snow showers 80% 10-20cm 1000 Fresh S/SW Poor

Tue
Aug 03 Wind and snow showers clearing 70% 2-5cm 1200 Fresh SW/W Improving

Wed
Aug 04 Snow showers developing 70% 2-5cm 1200 Fresh W/SW Deteriorating

Thu
Aug 05 Light snow clearing then sunnier 50% 2-5cm 1300 Easing S/SW Improving

What are the lay people meant to think? No wonder there is so much speculation over climate change when there are silly thing like this... who are we to believe??

14-21st Feb, just past Chinese NY. I wanted to go 1st week Feb but it would be chaos. It's also cheaper during this time than CNY. Heading to Niseko, hopefully this time we can spend a bit of time looking for an apartment to buy over there, it'll be my 3rd time there.

Anyways back to these coming systems as i want to get some skiing in heavy aussie fresh in before the end of the year \:D

I took a hit to the core of my board over the back of the cow last year.

Had to use a bucket of resin on the base to fix it LOL
