Lake Mac eh ?

Which side ?

The best side - East \:\)

Temps at Thredbo and Perisher now sub zero, so maybe some white on the web cams in the morning. Can they make snow at 100% or closish humidity?

Is it that humid? T'bo weather station is saying 55% which would making it dry enough I think.

I was looking at the Perisher ones - 100% at Front Valley and 98% at the top of the quad when I was looking. Looks like they made a bit.

Maybe I have lost the vibe. Opening weekend looks like it will be a standard fizzer (at least in the NSW resorts). Forecast temps look like some ok conditions for snow making. Maybe the slightest chance of a dusting in the week prior (hey, I have a little vibe left, sweet). Not that I'm worried at this stage as not down there till August, just feel for all those hanging by the thread.

Cooling down here....just east of the ACT. Not much on the ground except a light frost here and there tomorrow morning. Got to look at 4wks from now. In the meantime be occuvibed. Doing something with a good vibe! Just last week I was directing a video shoot for a band. Was all good and took some nice photos too....for those who like nice Fenders, speaker stacks, and solo work. Doing stuff.....with a good vibe.

Some nice red sunset colour behind the Brindabellas in the rear vision mirror this afternoon.

Spectacular exploding meteor in a clear starry sky directly overhead last week.

Optus wireless broadband sitting on 97% reception too = flying, and better than any other time in past 2yrs.

Ulladulla Winter Festival was on the weekend just past. Shame the rain came in. Tobogganing (small) was set up for infants, and a snowy rail and jump for the older folk, with live bands. Looked like man made snow....should have asked where they got it.

That's my news....for now.

LOL . Well as I was saying in the other thread the vibe feels much stronger from 10th onwards. There seems to be a low pushing through with a high behind which is dragging up a lot of cold southerly air. Charts still looking weird, but that's to be expected over 7 days out.

Nice idea for a thread Sandy. There are those of us who have been following the weather for years but you know, have actual lives, and simply don't have the time/desire to get involved in heavy technical discussion.

Now for a weird and paranoid contribution to this thread.

SHHHH! THE FRONTS CAN HEAR US! They know we are talking about them and that's why they are not gracing the Oz Alps with snow. We have to start ignoring them. If we do this they will get jealous. Seriously, if no one here mentions a single Cold front looming somewhere southwest of the Australian mainland, the fronts will get furious that no one is charting their progress and will strike with a fury the likes of which we have never seen. I'm takling a foot of snow in Hobart and Mebourne and three metres at Spencers Creek by July 1. This will happen. But only if we all keep really really quiet.
