The Weather Forum Epic BBQ thread.

The Weather Forum is moderated strictly, because this site is a commercial site, and during winter the content is important for resorts and for people accessing fact based information. The snowfall information is split clearly into Predictions & Observations, so that people can quickly and easily access JUST the information they want. Of course, there are many other weather and snowfall related topics as well, and as long as they are on topic, they are moderated in exactly the same way.

In response to a feeling that people would like a more lighthearted, less strictly moderated thread, "The Weather Forum Epic BBQ thread" has been created.

The following rules apply:

1. Specific Predictions & Observations will still go in the Predictions & Observations threads so that people can access those as before, without needing to look in two threads. Make sure this is done.

2. General and whimsical Predictions & Observations can go in here, but please make sure you get it right!!! ;\)

3. The moderating in general will be relaxed so far as content is concerned, but WAYYY off topic (not weather and snow related) MAY be deleted(but may not). For example, football or cars (unless it's related to the weather conditions)

4. Moderation so far as normal Weather Forum rules, such as language, trolling, etc, will still apply.

5. No changing of the thread name.

6. This is a trial. If it doesn't work, it will be wound up and locked. This is particularly the case regarding content relating to Specific Predictions & Observations. If too many of the Specific Predictions & Observations are posted here and not in the Specific Predictions & Observations threads, then this thread may be closed.

Actually more weather related, today was the first time I have worn a vest to work and the SW wind is keeping daytime temps low. I'm praying for snow here in Brissy and watching the thermometer, but still too warm ATM

That's the problem. Strict moderation is needed in Obs/Prediction threads, but not so much in the other general weather threads, IMO ;\) But meh, we'll see how this goes.

LOL actually humidity doesn't feel too bad today. All I need is a drop in temp of about 20C, some precipitation to move in and 0o0o0o0o0o0 Brisbane comes
to the party.

Ooooooooh! Another Epic BBQ! Now I've got a reason to come into weather!

Does drinking beer and throwing snags on the barbie help it to snow?

I like!
And I'm thinking similar thoughts to the Don(z)
A little something later this week and a really good cold outbreak over QBW
Charts are up and down but it's time for these systems to deliver something
9 degrees last night in Coolangatta.
the ground at the resorts should have got a huge soaking ..hopefully convert to a freeze a some stage this week.

QBW I feel a blast from the deep south....

I was at the Hospital maternity ward over the weekend in Cooma and the midwife said they usually have a spike in births when the first serious front for winter comes through. We are due June 8 what this means in tems of Vibe who knows.......

Currently pouring the proverbial in Lake Mac at the moment. Trying to work out how to get from the office to the car without drowning. Temps down south look good for possibly some snow making.

Yeah, falling on bare dirt is right... I think we are in for a late, but good overall season.
