The move is a bid by the food conglomerate to align the new product with a younger market -- and the "cool" credentials of Apple's iPod and iPhone.
The product's tag line reads: "iSnack 2.0, because it's the next generation Vegemite."

Wouldn't apple have some sort of copyright on the "i" prefix anyway???
We did try some eventually... it's OK, but prefer the original better...
We all tried to guess what was different before we looked at the ingredients... got one part wrong and one part right.
We all thought it tasted like it had LESS salt.... wrong, it has MORE.
We all thought it tasted like it had butter in it... we were close, it was cream cheese.

What a friggin stupid name. I saw them announce it during the AFL GF telecast and I thought it was a piss take coz the name was so stupid.
Perhaps the american market was the driver behind the naming.
Its not a winner with me. More salt, and about 8 times the amount of fat as the original.

Yes, I'd be surprised if we don't hear anything from Apple, given the way that McDonalds carry on whenever someone sticks a Mc prefix on their product.
Apart from that it just seems a stupid name, not that I actually care for the stuff anyway.

how can any sane person think this was a good idea as they signed off for the printing of the jar labels.
A sociopath bully (who's idea it was) must be running the joint - I can't see any other way that so stupid a name got right through to full production.

iSnack 2.0? Doesn't roll off the tongue at all. It sounds more like a computerised vending machine prototype than something you actually EAT!

Has anyone tasted it? I have and what I can say is this: I will eat just about everything - I have a very very broad pallete. This stuff however made me dry reach - it is disgusting.
