Just for the sake of clarification here are some basics that underpin Moderation across all forums here at ski.com.au.

* The Forums are broken into 4 main titles: Snow, Resorts, Apres, Support, and each of these have Sub-Forums where the discussion threads appear.

A FULL list is shown on the main forums page
Moderators are marked in blue

eg: Noticeboard has 2 moderators
--------------------------
Noticeboard
Announcements from the local snow industry. Commercial postings permitted.
Moderator: Ian D, trappers
--------------------------
* Forum Moderators are all volunteers that receive no reward at all for undertaking their duties

* Moderators are not online 24 x 7 and at times, this accounts for the lag in addressing certain threads or posts where others can be dealt with almost immediately.

* A Moderator can ONLY move or edit Threads or Posts from within the Sub-Forum of which they are actually a Moderator

* The success of effective Moderation is GREATLY enhanced by Forum members use of the Notify button . Please use this inform Moderators of the issue at hand. You should not start another thread addressed to moderators.

* The Moderators are subject to the same rules as every other Forum member

* If you a first time visitor or contributer then please review the Forum Terms of Use and Guidelines

I hope this helps you to better understand what, why and how things happen in order to keep these forums free and running well.

Thanks to Doonks for putting this little explanation together.
