I wonder if the accom problem is gonna force seasonaires to venture elsewhere? such as US or other Canadian resorts?

Whats the deal with the seasonit places, do you have to pay upfront or do you pay insallments while your there? Ive looked into it but we want to stay up to six months, so gonna have to find some accom and hopefully get the right job, so we can board and sightsee as much as possible.. Not going over to work fulltime thats for sure!

yes you pay up front. you can stay up to 6 months in their rentals. it was the best option for me. email them and ask if they can accomodate ur requirements.

Has anyone stayed in PeakView lodge? Anyone know what its like, I'm sort of considering a place like this now, rather than having to get there 2 months early to try and secure something. Also is it to big a risk to try and book and secure something through picque magazine online, sight unseen?

Careful, Franzman. That's two 'semi commercial' posts now from a new poster. By all means, stay around and share your experiences, but the folks here take a dim view of flogging a product or service without legitimate contributions to the discussion. If you'd just like to advertise, that's fine, but you'll need to go through the channels and pay for the privilege.

Is anyone here interested in securing there accom in Whistler for the season? I have a house but would like to confirm at least another couple to move in at the start of the season. After lots of emailing ppl, we have found a 3 bedroom place 600 metres from whistler/blackcomb lifts right in the village. We have 3 people and would like to confirm another couple or 2 people travelling together who'd be willing to share a room. The cost is $700 a month each including internet/water/electricity. I know i will have no trouble filling the rooms toward the end of the season but we are looking at taking a 6 month lease and want people to move in around the beginning of October. So far there is My girlfriend (22) me (28) a friend of ours (f 20) we are all easy going and will be working as well as getting as much boarding/skiing in as possible. Anyway its 3 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and seems like a good deal...feel free to ask for more info but be quick as we are hoping to fill the place asap.

Had a few people from the UK snowboarders forum interested, one is 100% keen to take half a room, so that means we have 1 room left - 2 single beds or a double as this place is flexible with bed configurations. Hoping to confirm this w/e if anyone is interested, I will also have pics by then.

Canadian Visa approved, got US interview next Friday, hopefully all good..
If I buy a season pass during early bird period, is it easy to get your money back if I line up a job through a business in the village, providing they supply or reduce the cost of the pass as part of there benefits. Or do you only get your money back if you get a job through the mountain (intrawest).

Bit of a maybe. I have been to Whistler years ago when I really couldn't ski to save my life.(Definite Blue run girl) +1 has a similar Chamonix story. Now we can ski most things-style optional.

I haven't been to Cham and he hasn't been to W-B and we both keep geeing each other up with a must do so it's on the cards.

However after this year I could just keep doing Utah/Jackson till I move on-which could be some time.

Reasons not to do Utah/Jackson and instead go to Whistler wanted-Please!!!

I used to think that whistler was hyped up to the max. Then I did a season there. Easily the best resort in the world if you know where to go.
