Myself and the +1 will be in ny for New Years. Anyone have any suggestions? I've seen some cool things but a table seems to need a min of 4. I'm thinking about a cruise? Any opinions or recommendations/ warnings etc. I am definitely not hanging out in Times Square- want a venue and a booking.

Thinking maybe of getting on the Staton Island ferry for fireworks or something.

I'm looking at some cruises at the moment, but they all seem to be about $250-$300 a head.
