^ this <sigh> was just looking at our photos from Japan in 2010 and thinking I can't wait to go again. Beautiful culture, great snow, wonderful people, fabulous food and ONSENS - what's not to like

Nice edit Mark. Loss of style points for those flapping pole straps though!

Great vid, what camera set up did you use to shoot it on? noticed that you had zoom in a few shoots I mostly just used a very basic panasonic full HD video cam from a few years ago and a Canon 7D occasionally. The video cam sucks as it often spits the dummy when it's snowing/too cold so I miss some good footage. The 7D is soooooooooo much better but the lack of autofocus for a video amateur like me is a bit of a pitfall with that.

Blended in? Thanks nick. I'm not sure whether I will make a video next season. That took soooooooooooo long to make!!!! Plus I'm always sacrificing potentially epic footage for my photos these days and I'm not really interested in making a movie with mediocre footage. Would also be nice not to have to be the one filming/shooting all the time. Sucks having to stop your runs half way down. Buy a video camera!!!

Mark's work makes me want to go to Japan. If I was organising another ski trip, I'd probably put Japan to the top of the list of places to go. Something exotic and good snow.

You're not an expert because you're too worried about stuffing up instead of trying to show off.
