I will have something special for you in a few days.

If you haven't been around since at least 2000 it wont bring back as many memories but you can get to enjoy it all as if it is new again.

Sweet. I've been around since 96-98 but I have to win the slowest poster award - I'm averaging around 100 posts a year.

Yep, SIC2000. That was a fun weekend. Hotham had a great season that year.

Could photoshop it, but don't have time.

Here's a 2007 version of one of the boys in the SIC2K photo:

Here's another! This is probably late 2006 - I haven't got any 2007 shots (can't find it on his photosites):

Gonna be hard to locate publically available 2007 photos for Doug, Bigaus and Snorkler. They don't look like they've changed much except put on a little weight...

I was digging out photos yesterday and I have a bunch of pics from the 2000 Jindy miniSic that was just after Hotham. Will take a day or so to get them up here though ;\)

Yeah, although 1993 to 1999 weren't much inspiring either, and had me worried that there will never be a year like 1992 (until 2000 came along).

2000 was an incredible season. Snorks and I tried to boot pack it to the summit of Buller 2 weeks before opening weekend and had to stop when we got to our armpits. I was 20m behind snorks and his tracks were full by the time I got to them, the snow was blowing so hard. It's still the largest single dump of snow I've seen in either B.C., CO or AK. We were one of the last cars through before they closed the road that day. The opening weekend at Hotham was a gem.

Still have that newspaper cut-out, Bal? that was unreal. Have fond memories of that season. I do miss skiing with you though! When are you going to come back for a visit, a good old Sno-Info drink or even coming to SIC ;\)

I have the paper cutting back home in Brissy. I scanned a colour copy that I bought from the newspaper but I can't find it. I emailed it to Snorks - he may have a copy?

I'd love to come back for a SIC but when I take vacation time away from Alaska I am looking for sun and warm weather, so unlikely in the next couple of years. I haven't shown Melbourne to the +1 yet, so if we make down on our next trip home, we'll have to get together for a drink.

You better have a rest Bal before you exceed your yearly post quota in one day.
What time is it there anyway? 12.35 am?
