First day skiing was the 11/2 and last day will be Friday, although been out of action yesterday and today with a slight tweak of the knee! Have had unbelievably good conditions since being here a great balance of powder day and good blue bird days with stable snow!
This has been my first trip to St Anton and it has been an awesome resort on and off the slopes. Great off piste skiing, lots of good terrain opened up by short hikes/climbs ranging from 5 min to 1.5 hours (the ones that I did anyway. Plenty of couloirs, open faces, bowls, valleys and some tree skiing. There is also a large amount of natural features to hit and play off!

I did this trip solo and rode '10 obsetheds, rode '12 bent chetelers and '13 Kastle James for a day each when the shop lost my skis when they were getting a wax!

Here is a few Pics!

Did a lot around Stuben and Rendel area Hike up the ridge from Gamperg or Rifflelbahn 2 and ride the bowls and valley back down to the base of the Gondalla. Lots of options at Stuben. There is a large range of choices from the peaks Knodelkopf, Peischlkoph and Wirt that will lead you back to Rauz or St Christoph. From Albongrat the is plenty out the back that leads down to Mario.
As far as straight off the lift goes Schindler has lots of good faces and couloirs. When riding trail 15, to skiers left is ridge which you can climb in various points to ski a lot of couloirs on the other side and than continue to ski the Mattun basin.
From the top of Kapall cut left across the rope tow and it will lead you down a valley with a few different options down into town with a short hike back to the Nasserein.
To access the top station of the Valluga you need a guide or can climb it! Skiing off the back to Zurs.

There is lots more and heaps of natural features, drops and cliffs to play on to. I did a day with Piste to Powder guides and they were great to. There is also a off piste book which you can get from sport shops in town.

That price is about right. When I was there 3 years ago they only did skiers

Yes thats about how much it is. I saw some boarder groups to. It may pay to book now or as soon as you get there as they seem to be full a lot of the time.
Yeah scored the conditions sweet _im_ missed the last three days with a tweak of the knee but the 11 days up till then where all perfect!

Nice, if all fits in with work I'll be in NZ for two weeks in August- a week in Wanaka riding TC and with HMH and a week in the Cubies and with Metven Heli. And then South America for two weeks in September Prob 2 weeks at Las Lenas! If we are in Wanaka at the same time we'll have to tee up somedays at HMH again!

I had a great trip and after I have finished all the places I want to go in Europe I will defiantly be back!

Webbercocked the couloirs I was referring to previously off the lift at Schildller are mostly visible in photo 11 and the ones that you ski down to and climb are visible in photo 14 alought from the photos you can't make out some of the tight ones.

I'll be in Wanaka Aug 5-18 this year.
I think you'll enjoy Las Lenas as well.

Great pics! Don't know if you have been there before to be able to compare but is Rendl busy these days? I was there in 2009 before the built the new gondola and it was super quiet when the rest of the resort was busy. Could get fresh lines off the top chair (which is as high as the valluga) all day!

Had a couple of good days with minimal over the back of the Rendl on the partly cloudy days with fresh snow, once it turned blue bird it did have a little bit of skiier traffic nothing to bad though! I can't judge to pat crowds as it was my first time there.

I can't really think of to many other activities, although I wasn't really looking.

That's precisely when you should be doing it - when the obvious snow is tracked out a guide will get you into the good stuff.

Managed all this during an appalling Euro season, all thanks to a well-connected & willing guide and a flexible schedule:
