I presumed so too,

but obviously not! LOL

I presume its something to do with how the edges interact with snow whilst you are walking?
and on the 8th day God created SNOW!

A little Splitboard 101
You skin these in reverse so that the chiness hooks don't catch.
The sidecut on the inside also helps on the traverse on harder stuff.

Paulskishop
FirstLight splitboards is not the same shop. We have been around for about 5 years.
We are located in NSW but have similar gear to the cornice store.
We started out modifing peoples solid boards and converting them to splitboards, a side step form the other business Firstlight surfboards, but we have now grown offering boards and bindings from the USA.
Next year we will be making our own Splitboards too!
We only do Splitboard and the related BC accessories, no skis or bags or that other stuff. Firstlight also manufacture some niche splitboard specific conversion kits and parts, its all on the website.
All gear is imported direct form the Manufactures and is current, not sources form third parties.
More gear heading over for our season but some in now for guys heading to Nth Hemi snow.
Cheers
